- Improve patient and staff scheduling
- Improve patient care
- Predict for a patient’s vulnerability to a particular medical condition
- More accurately monitor health insurance rates
- Optimize resource allocation
- Support for medical research
Let's Build the "Next Big Thing" in Senior Care Together
We are seeking CIOs, innovators, researchers, practitioners, startups, who want to join us in unlocking the data fabric needed to improve patient outcomes and drive efficiency within senior care facilities.
Trends
Stay ahead in a rapidly evolving landscape and
deliver the best possible care for your residents
With the number of seniors in the US set to rise by more than 12 million by 2030, providers must rethink their strategies to deliver better outcomes, higher-quality services, and superior experiences at a lower cost.
The key question for providers today is whether they will merely survive these challenges or do what it takes to thrive in the evolving landscape.
Our Story Started in 2019
In 2019, New Jersey Innovation Institute's Jennifer D’Angelo set out to foster the adoption of new technologies for greater good in the senior care industry, ensuring equitable access to insights, novel partnerships, and new tech platforms to all providers, regardless of the size of their practice.
Brought to you by the leaders in healthcare technology and innovation at New Jersey Innovation Institute (NJII), we’re building the future now to drive impact in senior care. The Aging Collaborative is an initiative born from NJII’s renowned Healthcare Division, which has been a underlying force in the promotion of interoperability to advance patient care outcomes.
Our Journey to Building a New Kind of Collaborative
1. Ideation
The New Jersey Innovation Institute (NJII) set out to support organizations who are struggling with innovation as a means to drive better outcomes at the lowest cost; the original idea was to launch a tech vendor marketplace to support decision making.
2. Market Discovery
NJII undertook a market validation study to understand opportunities to accelerate innovation in the NJ Metro NY Healthcare market, leading to key opportunities for interoperability, family and engagement, and data fabric.
3. Market Validation
NJII Hosted an iterative series of 50+ conversations with providers in ambulatory care, long-term care, home health care, and health systems, healthcare technology vendors, healthcare consultants, risk-based organizations, PE/VCs and other key constituents.
4. Program Launch
In 2024 NJII launched a Community of Practice of Senior Care providers who are collaborating on an executable roadmap of digital transformation with shared priorities and successes, inclusive of a data fabric platform to infuse data in decision making.
