The Alumni Association of NJIT has selected Tom Gregorio as a recipient of the 2020 Alumni Achievement Award.
The awards have been granted annually since 1979 and recognize alumni for “exceptional accomplishment in any field of endeavor which brings honor to NJIT.” This year’s awardees include distinguished leaders in healthcare, such as Gregorio; as well as architecture, software engineering, and personal finance.
Gregorio, the senior vice president and general manager of NJII’s Healthcare Division, earned his MBA from NJIT in 2008. The division has grown five-fold under his leadership, all while helping thousands of practices and millions of patients. One initiative cited in his Alumni Achievement nomination — the Garden Practice Transformation Network — improved the health of more than 13.7 million patients by employing evidence-based best practices, while helping drive $180 million in cost savings through increased efficiency.
“Being recognized for doing what you love is a great experience,” Gregorio said. “I’m honored to receive this award, and share the spotlight with such distinguished alumni.”
He is one of seven honorees this year. They will each receive their award at a gala during Alumni Weekend on May 30th.
