CAPE MAY, JULY 27, 2015 – NJ MarketShift, with the support of Cape May County and the Delaware River and Bay Authority held a highly successful Agile Strategy Workshop earlier today in Cape May, New Jersey. The focus of the workshop is to position Cape May as a global hub of innovation in Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) technology. An overview of Strategic Doing, a strategic discipline that advances strategic planning into a collaborative, action-oriented phase was presented to more than 25 participants from both industry and the public sector. The participants then broke into groups to develop ideas and formulate activities to advance UAV technology in the Cape May region.
NJ MarketShift is a government funded program designed to create regional industry clusters and strengthen economic development in New Jersey. It is sharply focused on a statewide strategy to support New Jersey’s aerospace and defense (A&D) industry to diversify markets, foster product innovation, and strengthen both companies and supply chains integral to defense needs and the New Jersey economy.
Workshop participants gave the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Agile Strategy workshop high marks. Scott Green, executive director of the Delaware River and Bay Authority said, “We all found some wonderful new connections, some powerful new ideas, and hope that, like me, you all left with your brain on fire. I look forward to our continued efforts, to growing our group and meaningful outcomes that will benefit our community and world.”
